When Will The Notifications Come Down?

Postby cyberhome4587 » Mon Jan 07, 2013 8:50 pm

Hello, everyone. First and foremost, congratulations to the next group of Lieutenants who are getting promoted in the upcoming weeks on January 25. Wondering, if anyone knows when the notifications will come down to advise them to get ready for the promotion. Thanks.

Is this pre-promotion field training related to reporting to the 20/20 Project Management Office at 1PP? Thanks for the updated info.

The basics of what I know is that the PC hired a consulting firm to assist with making recommendations in various areas of policing to improve the Department in the years ahead (i.e. year 2020). One preliminary recommendation was that new Captains are not as prepared to assume their duties because the preparation is solely academic, with 3 weeks of post-promotion training. As an effort to address this, the dept is looking at pre-promotion training for lieutenants by pairing them off with XOs and COs before promotion. There were various labor relations issues to work out since Lieutenants are members of the LBA but this was addressed in the planning phase.

16 not including passovers. I wonder if they'll finish the list with one more class.

I would say that's a strong possibility, or two classes of eight each.
